Don't Come Bet
Now that we know what those two other bets are, it is simple to explain what a Don’t Come bet is. It is pretty self explanatory, but just in case you haven’t fully grasped the concept of it I will take you through an example.
Why Craps Players Make the Don’t Come Bet
You have missed the come out roll by the shooter and you want to bet on the Don’t Pass line. Because you have a 45% of winning this bet on the come out roll you decide to make a Don’t Come bet.
If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11 we lose (as per Don’t Pass bet). If the shooter rolls a 2 or a 3 you win. If a 12 is rolled it is a push (no one wins) and we get our bet back.
Now if the shooter rolls a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or a 10 on the come out roll that is now our point. If the shooter rolls the point before he rolls a 7 we lose. But if the shooter rolls a 7 before our point we win. This is just the same as a Don’t Pass bet but we have a different come out roll and point.
Don’t Come Bet is Sensible
The concept of the Don’t Come bet is the exactly the same as the Come Bet. The only difference is that you are betting on the Don’t Pass Line instead of the Pass Line. Keep in mind that this bet has the best odds out of any bet in Craps. So if you are hesitant towards making this bet when you are playing Craps online than you shouldn’t be. It is actually the most mathematically sound bet you can make. Take the confidence in knowing that to the Craps table.
The Don’t Pass Line and Don’t Come bets are two bets that are often overlooked, especially in online Craps. If I could give you just one tip on how to improve your Craps strategy, it would be to use this bet more. You don’t have the same problems that you would have if you made this bet in a live casino. You are in the comfort of your own home so there shouldn’t be any reason why we shouldn’t strive to make the most sensible decisions possible. Our aim is to make the most amount of money we can right?
