Online Craps Buttons
Craps is a unique casino game that allows players to bet on the outcome of a series of dice rolls. In Craps, there is an enormous variety of bets you can make on a given roll of the dice, and for this reason, the game can seem rather complicated to newcomers. Online Craps games include many buttons for players to click. Clicking on these buttons will determine the types of bets you make on a given roll, the amount you’d like to wager, and other interface options such as clearing your bets or making the same bet again.
Basic Craps Rules
Although there are several bets you can make in online Craps, the most common online Craps button to click when making a bet is the Pass Line button. When you bet on the Pass Line, you can roll either a 7 or an 11 to win your bet on a 1:1 ratio. If you roll either a 2, a 3, or a 12, you lose your bet. Rolling any other number will establish a point. In this case, you’ll have to roll that point again before rolling a 7 in order to win. If you roll a 7 prematurely, you lose.
Online Craps Buttons – Betting
When playing Craps at an online casino, you’ll be presented with an interface that looks exactly like a real live Craps table. All of the possible bets are clickable online Craps buttons. The Pass Line is a large L-shaped button on the left side of the table. This is the most popular online Craps button to click for a starting bet. Adjacent to the Pass Line button you’ll find the Don’t Pass Bar. Clicking on this is equivalent to wagering against the Pass Line. If your first roll is a 2, 3, or 12 (depending on the casino) you win. If you roll a 7 or 11, you lose. If you establish a point, your goal is to roll a 7 before rolling the point again.
In the middle of the table you’ll find a large Come button. This button is similar to the Pass Line button, except that it can be bet on at any time, whereas the Pass Line button can only be bet on at the beginning of a round.
Between the two Don’t Pass Bar online Craps buttons you’ll find the Big 6 and Big 8 buttons. By clicking these buttons, you’re betting that the next roll will total 6 or 8. These are similar to the Place buttons at the top of the table, except that they pay even money. The Place online Craps buttons include 4, 5, Six, 8, 9, and 10. Each of these buttons is divided into four smaller buttons, representing Come, Come Odds, Don’t Come, and Don’t Come Odds. If you’re unsure which corner represents which bet, you can mouse over the button to find out more information about it. Above and below these buttons you’ll find two lines. The top line above the Place button is Lay. In descending order, the next three buttons are Place Lose, Place, and Buy.
By clicking the Place Lose online Craps buttons, you’re betting that a 7 will be rolled before the specified number you chose. Buy bets are very similar to a normal Place bet, only with an alternate payoff. When clicking a Buy Bet online Craps button, you must pay a 5% commission to the house. The Lay bet works in a similar way to the Place Lose button, except with the same 5% commission.
On the right side of the table, you’ll find eight buttons representing Hard Way bets. These buttons usually include their payout ratios listed right on the table. Hard Way bets are given their name because they require two exact die faces to show. For example, a Hard Way 8 bet requires you to roll a 4 and 4 in order to win. Rolling a 2 and a 6 or a 3 and a 5 results in a loss, hence the term “Hard Way.” You can bet on 2 – 2, 3 – 3, 5 – 5, 4 – 4, 1 – 2, 1 – 1, 5 – 6, and 6 – 6. Above the Hard Way online craps buttons you’ll find Seven and Any Craps. With Any Craps, you’re betting that the roll will “crap out,” or total 2, 3, or 12.
You can also click on a button below the Come button to bet on the Field. Here, you’re wagering that the next roll will total 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12.
Online Craps Buttons – Wagering
Before you can click on any of these buttons, you’ll have to familiarize yourself with the wagering buttons. At virtually any online casino, you’ll see various buttons at the bottom or side of the screen representing chip denominations. For example, at Bodog Online Casino, the online Craps buttons representing wager amounts include $1, $5, $25, and $100 chips. You can click on these buttons to build up a chip stack, and then click on the part of the table representing a betting button. For example, I might start my craps session by clicking the $5 button once and the $1 button three times, for a total wager of $8. Next, I’d click the Pass Line online Craps button to place by $8 wager on the table. You’ll see a graphical representation of your chips sitting on the Pass Line at this point.
Next, you’ll click on the Roll button located in a corner of the screen. As you might imagine, clicking on this online Craps button causes you to roll the dice. After you win or lose, you could click the Repeat button to place the same chip denominations on the same part of the table, and click Roll once again to make the same wager. If you place several wagers on the table and decide you’d like to start over, you can click on the Clear or Remove button. This will clean off the table and allow you to start again.
