Interpreting Craps Odds

As you can see from the information displayed in the table above, the line bets are by far the smartest ones to make in Craps. The Pass Line/Come Bets only have a house edge of 1.41% while the Don’t Pass Line/Don’t Come only has a house edge of 1.40%

On the other end of the spectrum, there are numerous bets that are not advisable, or that you should at least be wary of. In particular, the One Roll Bets carry a quite poor house edge. These Crap bets have a house edge of up to 16.9% on the Any 7.

Craps House Edges

Now that you have seen the payoffs and the house edge on each of the individual bets in Craps, you can understand the point of making line bets as much as possible. While the One Roll bets may look enticing, they certainly don’t offer the Craps player a good chance of winning over the medium to long term.

If you don’t quite understand what all of these beats mean and how to play Craps, you should read our articles that explain each one of them. Once you are comfortable with your understanding of each Craps bet, you can consult this chart to hone your ability to recognize house edges and pay outs.
